On Friday, February 13th, we had a school wide science day! Our class did a Sink and Float experiment comparing a conversation heart, a marshmallow heart, and a solid chocolate heart. For each candy, we predicted if it would sink or float, then observed what happened as it was dropped into the water. After we completed the experiment, we discussed different reasons that could explain why two hearts sank and why one heart floated. It was a lot of fun!
