Happy Tuesday! We missed all of our friends who were sick or snowed in, but we were happy to see so many smiling faces and hear about the wonderful adventures our class had in the SNOW! A little snow was still lingering around outside of our classroom, as you can see.
Today was our 2nd day of Boosterthon!! Our FunRun has been moved to next Thursday (Feb. 4) but our team huddles will continue every day this week. Today, Maggie, Ayva, and Davis (not picture) earned their Red Boosterthon Expand-a-band for registering online in addition to other prizes for raising pledges for the FunRun! Congratulations!
We also put the finishing touches on our decorations for the Door Decorating Contest! K5's country is Australia, so last week we discussed and researched the Great Barrier Reef. We talked about how people dive &snorkel there frequently, and looked at the different creatures found in that area. We also discussed our January IB attitude - Independence - and different ways we are becoming independent. We combined these 2 ideas into our door, "Diving into Independence in The Great Barrier Reef!"
Check back tomorrow for more Boosterthon fun! :)
