Today we had the opportunity to observe and explore as our GCS Food and Nutrition Services made homemade Mozzarella cheese!! Chef Shawn explained that Mozzarella starts off with curds.  When the curds are added to salt water (with a little lemon juice if I remember correctly) they start to soften into Mozzarella.   Students were able to feel the curds and Mozzarella as well as sample freshly made Mozzarella!  It was a wonderful and exciting experience! :)    You can see more pictures from this event on the Greenville County Schools Food and Nutrition Services Facebook page!!
