Dr. Seuss is on the loose!

K5 celebrated Read Across America Week February 26 - March 2, 2018 in honor of Dr. Seuss!  We kicked off our Author Study unit by focusing on a different book and activity each day.  This event is celebrated for a week near March 2nd every year in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday.  His books are excellent examples of rhyming and often contain popcorn words young children know or have words they can easily sound out.  It was fun week and we appreciate all of our families for participating when they could!

Monday: Fox in Socks... Silly Sock Day!
Tuesday: If I Ran the Zoo... Fuzzy Friend Day!
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday... Wacky, Tacky, & Mismatched Day
Thursday: The Cat in the Hat... Black Shirts with Red & White Hats
Friday: Green Eggs and Ham... Green Eggs and Ham!
Ten Apples Up on Top... Making Ten (Math Lesson)
